Bourbon County, Seattle, USA and Noises Episode #1 (8/21/10) "Fighting Cock Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey"

Fighting Cock Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey
Jeremy says: "Fighting Cock has a deceptively nice initial taste but then burns like hell going down. Drinking whiskey that burns on the way down may make some people feel more masculine, but that hardly makes it a great product. I guess people who fall for their claim of Fighting Cock as being the 'bourbon man's bourbon' probably also believe that Axe body spray will attract girls."

Drew says: "Fighting Cock seems to be a real paradox of bourbon as it tastes very nice while also feeling like I'm chugging metal shavings. The hyper-violent, hyper-masculinized name/image does not go unearned. I'm pretty sure there is a lot of rye in here as it is super spicey especially when you hold it on your tongue. It's not for the faint of heart as you taste every 103 proof drop that enters your body unless you mix it with something, then the flavor disappears and you could be drinking yourself to an early grave and not even taste it. Note: as foreshadowed in the show Jeremy actually did pass out after making himself some mac & cheese, don't say you weren't warned."

  1. I love the increasingly slurred breaks on this show. Cassette fuzz whiskey burn with noise now!
